About Us

The birth of IPC started 10 years ago because of one patient. Di Wu, a medical doctor specialized in orthopaedic surgery, who was trained in Beijing China, had just completed a successful surgery… From a surgical perspective, everything was a complete success. The gold standard of orthopaedic surgery was achieved.

Yet, the patient who was operated on was depressed. After the surgery, the patient could not return to his sexual activities. Because of that, it put a lot of strain on his relationship, and he and his wife ended up divorcing. This event really marked Di.

There was this nagging question. How come a successful operation like this, which achieved all the gold standards in surgical procedures could lead to such a poor outcome?

After Di came to Canada, he decided to enrol in the program of physical therapy at McGill where he was introduced to the wonderful world of pelvic health. He saw this as an opportunity to understand better what he could’ve done to help the young man he operated on back in China and understand how he could’ve helped him regain his sexual life.

It was the beginning of Di’s journey to understand better how he could help men with their pelvic issues and pain. Through the coaching of many mentors and the various continuing education courses he took, combined with his medical training, he created a comprehensive framework to treat men with pelvic pain. Di wanted to come up with a systematic model that’d guide him for all the cases he took on. Unlike many courses he took where he learned very specific techniques to try in very specific cases, and felt lost when it didn’t work, Di wanted to create a solid framework that’d guide him regardless of the case presentation.

Over the past 8 years, he refined the model, used it in clinic for his own practice and conducted research to validate the framework. Di is now sharing this framework with clinicians who are interested in learning more about men’s pelvic health and who are looking to provide high-quality care to their patients. He is also looking to collaborate with forward thinking clinicians who want to advance the field of pelvic floor physio.

A lot of of men are suffering from pelvic health issues and dealing with them in silence. As a health professional, you have the super power to guide them through their pain and/or ED, and help them smile again.

Curious about how to do that? We teach you how to learn those super powers.
